To measure these factors we have done some researches in internet and we have also gone to the different districts and we have asked the neighbors, in the libraries, watch the neighborhood, etc.
The punctuation is from 1 to 5, being 1 for the worse and 5 the best.
Mobility 30%
After searching in the page web of the organization “la Once” and going to the districts to look how is the mobility for blind people there, we can say:

We have looked for information on the internet of 10 school of each neighborhood, to see if they would have the resources to attend a blind child.

We have gone to some of the libraries of the neighborhoods and we have asked how many elements on the list did they have.

- Ground floor to avoid stairs and elevators
- Wide spaces for an easy movement
- Furniture without protrusions

Total leisure and culture:
SALAMANCA=2,5+3=5,5%
SAN BLAS=2,5+2= 4,5%
FRANCOS RODRÍGUEZ=0+2= 2%




CONCLUSION


With these results, the final punctuations for each neighbourhood are:
- Barrio Salamanca: 82%
- Barrio San Blas: 68,75%
- Francos Rodríguez: 73,25%

So, we can say as a conclusion that the most liveable neighbourhood in Madrid for a blind person (among the three that we have studied) is BARRIO SALAMANCA.
It is the best adapted in terms of education, mobility and accessibility, and it is also good in leisure and culture.

We have chosen three neighborhood of Madrid to study them and compare. The aim of this is to find in which one a blind person has more resources and could live in a best way.
These three neighborhoods are:
Francos Rodríguez
San Blas
Barrio de Salamanca.

We have chosen these three neighborhoods because they are very different between them.  We will do this research looking for information in internet, going to the neighborhood and asking for the information.

Barrio de Salamanca

Density: 27.303 population/km2

Barrio de salamanca is one of the most expensive neighourhood in Madrid. It has the most luxurious shops of the city. It is an exclusive and elegant neighborhood. Custom designed with taste and style, there is no business of luxury that is not represented in its commercial avenues.
It is a residential and comercial neighbourdhood
It has few green areas


San Blas.

Density: 7143 population/km2

Socioeconomic status: low
It has both residential and industrial character
In the district of San Blas, there are 31 kindergartens, 14 schools from kindergartens and elementary schools, 7 secondary schools and 14 private schools.
Located in Arcos de Jalon street is the Escuela Universitaria de ópticos, form the University Complutense of Madrid.


Francos Rodríguez
Density: 28.765 population/km2

Socioeconomic status: medium-low
La Dehesa de la villa is near Franco RodriguezThere are a lot of local festivals in “La Dehesa de la villa”

It has a high elderly population and a lot of immigrant people.

Sports equipment in the District of Almenara or Valdeacederas.
Plan of integration and coexistence of new residents in the district..
Programme of accessibility and walking routes.
Improvement of transport by bus and minibus.

Factors and indicators.

As we know, visually impaired people can’t move with the same facility as a sighted person.
Sight is one of the most important senses that human beings have in order to interact with the environment. Since the lack of vision is such a drawback, the remaining senses of a visually impaired person are enhanced, allowing them to manoeuvre around town with less difficulty.  


Mobility 30%

We consider essential the fact that it has places adapted for security and self-sufficiency

Indicators:
Traffic lights, pedestrian cross walk, bus and metro voice.

Accessibility 25%

Another important factor is the accessibility that they have. For example, handicap accessible entrances to buildings, lifts with voice or sounds, fences in the dangerous places, etc.
Buildings and shops that allow the entry of guide dogs are favourable.

Inclusion 25%

The inclusion is an important factor for the perfect adaptation to the environment with neighbours.
There is some quiet, avoiding noise pollution affects their lifestyle.
Another important indicator is whether there is any association, who attends these people with visual disabilities.

Volunteers.

Education 10%

Education as an important part of their training and adaptation.
Schools should have the necessary resources to facilitate their learning.

Places that help visually impaired people relate to other people; having a common meeting point, and different activities, which develop a sense of safety, confidence and self esteem.
